Biography

Professor Philippe HUMBERT, Department of Dermatology, University Hospital of Besançon (Franche-Comté, Saint-Jacques Hospital). He is responsible for The Center for Study and Research on Integument (CERT) which its multiple arms in a framework with university resources and knowledge, contribute the medical and cosmetic researches in dermatology. He is also supervising the university research team; The "Laboratory of Engineering and Cutaneous Biology (LIBC)” within the 'INSERM U645 Besançon.Double Board certified in Dermatology and Internal Medicine, University of Franche-Comté. Co-author of “Measuring the Skin” , Non-invasive Investigations, Physiology, Normal Constants (Berlin: Springer, 2004) President of the ISCP (International Society of Cutaneous Pharmacology, www.iscutpharm.com) President of the ISBS (International Society for Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin, www.i-s-b-s.org). The ISBS was founded in 1976 and consists of 140 members including dermatologists, occupational physicians, physiologists and biochemists who all having the same interest for the development, use and dissemination of knowledge in biotechnology of the skin. As well as organising symposiums, the ISBS founded the official journal, SKIN RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY, which is a clinical journal specialising in non-invasive measuring methods in the areas of dermatology, cosmetics and plastic surgery. Founding member of the Francophone Society for Cutaneous Engineering (SFIC), established in 1999, which organises francophone congresses on themes which are closely related to biometrology and cutaneous imaging in vivo.
